 La Toscana Winery
Reds...Whites...my absolute favorite is light and sweet, Chanin Blanc from La Toscana Winery in Peshastin Washington, made by vintner Warren Moyes.
Warren and Julie Moyes, both gentle spirits and gracious hosts, share their Italian style of winery and bed and breakfast. Their love affair with Italy having lived, and worked, resulted in their creating artisan batches of wine in their retirement. Summer months produce large thick clusters of table grapes overhead in their vine covered arbor, perfect for sitting for a spell with cheese, crackers, and discussing the finer points of how your favorite wine was made.

Tontz Orchards
You can find Tontz Orchards in East Wenatchee, Bakers Flats, surrounded by their newest audience, many new ranchettes in 20 acre parcels.
John's antique Allis Chalmers tractor sits proud, due to show off in the Classy Chasy Apple Blossom Festival event. Its life extended for many uses, to pull trailers full of students, school tours & upick individuals.
John's heirloom trees include "Common Delicious" , far back in the family tree of "Red Delicious", look for the green strip and wonderful tasting! Other varieties include four different Alberta peaches, Red Haven, nectarines, & Prefection Apriciots all in spring bloom. Makes one hungry to imagine grilled apricots....peach cobbler.. and other treats.
The Tontz orchard serves as a connecter to other farm producers. Every tuesday finds he and crew loading in the fresh harvest of local corn, tomatoes, & melons, to provide a one stop experience.
A gorgeous day, while full time orchard workers mounted ladders repeating the process of blossom thinning from tree to tree. We discussed orchard techniques with just enough of local politics thrown in the mix, bid farewell until group workshop dates soon to arrive.
